Professional pattern making is the process of creating precise templates used to cut fabric for garment production. Our pattern makers translate design concepts into technical patterns that ensure proper fit, construction, and manufacturability. We create both first patterns (initial prototypes) and production patterns (factory-ready with all markings).
A first pattern is the initial prototype pattern created from a design sketch or concept. It's used to make a sample garment for fit testing. A production pattern is the finalized, factory-ready version that includes all seam allowances, notches, grain lines, and construction markings needed for mass manufacturing.
Standard turnaround times depend on complexity:
- Simple garments (t-shirts, basic skirts): 3-5 business days
- Medium complexity (blazers, dresses): 5-7 business days
- Complex garments (tailored suits, outerwear): 7-10 business days
